Power Rangers Ninja Storm - Summer 2004 release?

Chris Morris and Richard Broadstreet both emailed us a post from RangerBoard.com with information that a Power Rangers: Ninja Storm season set will be released in summer, 2004. Please keep in mind that the summer of 2004 is almost a year away and these plans could change, or be cancelled.

Hey guys, last night I sat through a product showcase at work (I work for Disney) and they showed us a lot of new things coming out in the near future. Power Rangers was one of the topics that was discussed, and things are looking good when it comes to Power Rangers Dino Thunder materials! Disney is planning on releasing a lot of PR: DT items, including clothing, backpacks, costumes, and even bedroom sets!!! One of the things I did get out of them was Power Rangers on DVD... (enjoy)

Per Product Reps from Disney and Buena Vista on July 23, 2003, it has been announced that there are plans to release Power Ranger's Ninja Storm and Power Rangers Dino Thunder on DVD, as season box sets!! There is no date set yet for the release of either series, but a rough guess by the reps stated that Ninja Storm may be out late next summer 2004.

Now, even though they have plans for releasing Ninja Storm as a season box set, they may be cancelled if sales for the individual "volumes" that are currently being released do not do very well (you all know- the "Prelude to a Storm", "Looming Thunder", and "Lightning Strikers" DVDs with like 5 episodes on each DVD)-- SO BUY THE VOLUMES!!!! They did say that Dino Thunder will be released as a complete season without any questions, and they may also release it in volumes while the show airs next year, but even if the volume DVD do poor, they will still release the season box set.

As for Power Ranger seasons prior to Ninja Storm being released on DVD as season box sets, they have been considering it, they're just trying to determine if they will sell good enough (and make a big enough profit) if they take the time and money to release the old seasons ..... so basically if you want to see anything on DVD prior to Ninja Storm, contact Buena Vista (call them or e-mail them using this link: http://video.go.com/contactus.html ) or Disney Movies ( www.disneymovies.com ) and put in TONS of requests & complaints that they aren't out on DVD and that you want them (even say that you'll pay any price for them). The reps said that the plans for the prior seasons are on the table. If they get enough people wanting the seasons on DVD, then they WILL concider doing it (and Disney is very good when it comes to listening to their customers).... but people need to put in a lot of requests to show that the demand is out there.
