Farrah Fawcett and Oscar-winner Burl Ives star in the emmy® award-winning mini-series based on the original multi-million dollar baby.
Gorgeous, lonely, and rich beyond imagination, Barbara Hutton was the original million dollar baby. Having inherited the vast Woolworth fortune when she was only a child, Hutton was raised in great affluence, and even greater unhappiness. Craving affection, she burned through the money in high style, and found herself poor and alone after seven failed marriages to princes, a baron, a count, and an American movie star. As one of the most famous women in the world, her divorces took place in the public eye, each one adding to her loneliness and misery.
Starring Award-Winning Actress Farrah Fawcett, (The Apostle, Charlie's Angels) in arguably one of the greatest performances of her career, Oscar-winner Burl Ives (Smoky, The Big Country), and James Read (Remington Steel, North and South), POOR LITTLE RICH GIRL is a sweeping historical epic that follows the heiress around the world, from New York to London to Tangiers, in her desperate and tragic search for lasting love. Winner of three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, this stirring six-part mini-series will be available for the very first time on DVD.
