A week ago today we
posted an update about
Poltergeist: The Legacy - Season 2 on DVD, available exclusively from Amazon.com's "CreateSpace" manufacture-on-demand program. In our story last Friday, we told you that
Amazon's entry for this title had been updated, showing a release date down in the "Product Details" section of the listing. That release date said February 3rd, which was a couple of days earlier than our post. However, the in-stock-or-not status of the title was showing as "
Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available." At least that's what it said at the time.
Yesterday evening the listing changed once more, and now instead says near the top that "
This title will be released on March 3, 2010." This update essentially changed the title back to a pre-order status, and the date in the "Product Details" section of the entry changed from 2/3/10 to 3/3/10 to match the information at the top. So the bottom line is that Amazon is once again saying this MOD title isn't available to ship yet.
The companion MGM-based MOD title that has been paired with this,
Jeremiah - Season 2, has undergone a similar change. As we've
reported separately about it, however, despite the changed dates we are getting forwarded e-mails from our readers that are from Amazon, giving shipping notices with an expected arrival of next week. But while we've gotten a number of these overnight from several of our readers, nobody has forwarded us anything similar for
Poltergeist: The Legacy - Season 2. As far as we know at the moment, this hasn't begun shipping and won't until the 3rd of March. Either way, though, it probably won't matter...the
Jeremiah customers who got shipping notices had put their orders in prior to the end of January. If any
Poltergeist: The Legacy customers get first shot at receiving their copies of
Season 2, it will probably be under the same circumstances (i.e., already have pre-orders on the books).
