Acorn Media has announced that on
January 31st they will be putting out both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc format versions of both
Series 1 and
Series 2 of Agatha Christie's
Poirot. These episodes have all been previously released on DVD before, but are available for the first time on Blu-ray. For both formats, these productions have been remastered, and are presented in the original order as first broadcast in the U.K.! The 3-disc DVD sets are $39.99 SRP each in the USA (CA$52.99 SRP in Canada), and the 2-disc Blu versions are $49.99 SRP each in the United States (CA$64.99 SRP up in Canada). On both formats the episodes are presented in their original 4x3 "full screen" aspect ratio, but the Blu-ray editions are additionally in 1080p high definition resolution. The Blu releases also features English 2.0 Dolby Digital audio, and English subtitles can be found on all four of these releases. The
Series 1 sets are 10 episodes long, while the
