Late in August the folks at MGM and distributor Fox Home Entertainment issued
a press release describing their November 25th release of
Pink Panther - The Ultimate Collection, an 18-disc collection of DVDs: 9 with almost all of the feature films in the theatrical series, and 9 more with over 190 cartoon shorts which have become a television staple of the cool cat. Those animated classics include "The Pink Phink" (1965 Oscar, Best Short Subject: Cartoons), as well as "Sink Pink" and "Pink Ice" (the only two cartoons in which Pink actually talks).
Today MGM and Fox have alerted retailers that those 9 DVDs featuring the cartoons will ALSO be available in a separate release, on
January 27th, titled
The Pink Panther and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection. Cost for this will be $69.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$99.98 SRP in Canada. Running time is 1217 minutes. Package art isn't ready yet, but here is a breakdown of this 9-DVD set:
