As we told you last June, there is a DVD release coming on
October 25th from MPI Video called
The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction - Ultimate Christmas Collection. We knew that there would be 3 Christmas-themed episodes (the first 2 Beverly Hillbillies holiday episodes from 1962 and 1963, and the
Petticoat Junction Christmas show from 1963). Now we've found out there there is some bonus material on this disc as well:
- Original cast sponsor commercials
- Introductions by Linda Kaye Henning (who played "Betty Jo" on Petticoat Junction and was the voice of "Jethrine" on Beverly Hillbillies)
- A Christmas Greeting from Linda Kaye Henning and Frank Cady ("Sam Drucker" on both Petticoat Junction and the other show from Hooterville, Green Acres)
