Following up on their early October DVD release of
The Beverly Hillbillies - The Complete 2nd Season, Paramount Home Entertainment is apparently going back to their shows that were created by Paul Henning for further releases. According to a pre-order listing at Amazon, there's more fun in store for you with a
December 16th DVD release of
Petticoat Junction - The Official 1st Season.
Why the "official" portion to the title? That apparently references the fact that the DVDs available so far are all public domain episodes, including those that MPI released in 2005 as
Petticoat Junction - Ultimate Collection (plus a Christmas episode on a separate MPI release).
There are no details about this new package available just yet, other than a list price of $40.99 provided (but if you place your pre-order right away, Amazon will only charge you $28.99). Nor has the studio provided any official details; this release actually hasn't been formally announced yet. But stay tuned and we'll come back to update you further, once we have more info!
