We've got the scoop on Info for this April release!

Yesterday CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment announced the April 8th release of a Perry Mason - 50th Anniversary Edition DVD set. At first we didn't have any details about this package (other than a running time of 714 minutes), but overnight we've gotten some additional details thanks to our friends in the industry!

This is going to be a 4-DVD compilation of "12 of the most gripping, thrilling, and shocking episodes of the show’s incredible 9 seasons" (as the studio write-up describes it). The particular episodes aren't listed by title, but fans can probably figure some of it out by the names of guest stars mentioned in the info sent to retailers: Robert Redford, Bette Davis, Leonard Nimoy, Adam West, James Coburn and Burt Reynolds.

Each of the episodes on the first three discs will contain new on-camera intros by Barbara Hale ("Della Street"). The fourth DVD is a bonus disc with never-before-seen special features including:
  • Raymond Burr’s initial screen tests
  • New cast interviews
  • Photo Gallery
  • Archived CBS News footage
  • Featurette
  • And much more!
