Fox will pull off another "first" when they release the pilot of
Over There on
August 2nd, just days after the July 27th premiere on the F/X Network. The series follows 7 soldiers as they go into combat in Iraq. Lizette Carrion (
FreakyLinks), Josh Henderson (
One on One), Jimmy Pinchak (
Family Affair), Keith Robinson (
American Dreams), Erik Palladino (
ER,
Joan of Arcadia) and Nicki Lynn Aycox (
Jeepers Creepers II) star in the war drama executive produced by Steven Bochco (
NYPD Blue).
The 1 hour pilot (approx 44 mins on DVD) will include an exclusive 15 minute making-of featurette with Palladino, Bochco, and others. The suggested retail price is $9.98, though stores will mark it down.
The show has been described as "amazing," and the decision to release the show on DVD so quickly came after Fox executives attended an advanced viewing of the episode. They feel this will be one of the most talked about summer shows.
