Back in 2002 and 2003, MGM releases the
Season 1 and
Season 2 DVD sets of the original
Outer Limits. This year, MGM has taken both seasons of the show and split it into thirds, with
Volume 1 out in stores just a month ago, and
Volume 2 planned to hit at the end of August.
On
October 30th, MGM will finish the re-release in its new configuration, with the debut of
The Outer Limits - Volume 3. This 3-DVD (double-sided discs) set will go for $29.98 SRP. Like all the other releases, this one is bare-bones with just the episodes and no extras. These final 17 episodes are essentially all of the 2nd Season, and include such classics as Harlan Ellison's "Soldier," Harlan Ellison's "Demon With A Glass Hand," "Wolf 359," "I, Robot," the two-part episode "The Inheritors," and the show's final episode, "The Probe."
