The Outer Limits - MGM revisits The Outer Limits

MGM has announced that they're rereleasing The Outer Limits starting with Season 1, Volume 1 on June 5. This 2 disc set will include the first 16 episodes (821 mins) of the series (no bonus material):

Suggested retail price of the set is $29.98, but Amazon is preselling it for $22.99. Here's the weird thing; you can get the entire first season (which was released back in 2002) for $32.99, so what's the point of the new sets (at multiple volumes to get to one season) if they cost more money and don't contain anything new? Weird.
