On September 2nd, MGM is releasing
The Outer Limits: The Original Series - Volume 2 in a 3-disc set. List price is $69.96 for 870 minutes worth of episodes that were originally broadcast in 1964-65. Of the 17 episodes shown during Season 2, only 3 of them were broadcast in 1965, so it's reasonable to assume that "Volume 2" consists of all 17 Season 2 episodes.
These will be presented in the original black-and-white format and with mono sound. Some of the memorable stories that should appear on this set include Harlan Ellison's "Soldier" and "Demon with a Glass Hand," the classic "I, Robot," William Shatner's appearance in "Cold Hands, Warm Heart," and an episode title that will be familiar to fans of
Star Trek: The Next Generation: "Wolf 359" (a TNG battle with the enemy Borg race took place near a planet named in honor of the world in this
Outer Limits episode). Other guest stars throughout the season include Michael Ansara, James Doohan, Robert Culp, Eddie Albert, Adam West, Ted Knight, Robert Duvall, Morgan Brittany, and Edward Platt (Chief from
Get Smart).
