About a year ago this month, the Borders chain of stores began
exclusively selling Outer Limits - The Complete Original Series: Volumes 1-3 on DVD, and you can see the box art below (a picture I snapped with my cell phone camera at the store closest to me).
This release was supposed to "go wide" to other retailers sometime this year, originally at the beginning of this month. But then
it was delayed until November 4th. Now we've gotten a new update: the release date has just been moved up by Fox a tad: it will now arrive a few weeks closer, on
October 21st (just in time for Halloween).
As before, it contains all the contents of the three separate "Volume" releases that came out from Fox/MGM in 2007. According to our retailer sources, the cost is now showing as $59.98 SRP in the USA, which is twenty dollars cheaper than it was before.
Amazon's pre-order listing still shows the higher cost ("discounted" to $67.99) and old date (Nov. 4th) as of this writing, but we expect them to make adjustments before too long. And if you've pre-ordered it from Amazon, their policies indicate that you will get the lower price when it ships.
