Several weeks ago we
brought you info about
The Oprah Winfrey Show - 20th Annivery Collection on DVD, which is set to arrive on
Nov. 15th in a 6-disc set. Paramount, which is distributing this, has sent over the details of this release, including much more info about the extras. It's also interesting to note that they info shows that the SRP on this set is $40.00 even, which sounds like a strange amount (list prices always seem to end in ."99," ."98," ."95," etc.). Taking a look at the
Amazon.com pre-order listing, they show the SRP is $54.99...that actually makes more sense to us, and fits in with what we've heard previously. Perhaps the studio meant to show that $40 would be the end cost to consumers after discount; Paramount has used that sort of wording often in the past for their TV-DVD spec releases. That would fit right in with Amazon's discounted cost of $38.49 as well...a great price for a 6-DVD set!
