Two months ago we
exclusively reported that
The Office - Season 6 is coming to both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc on
September 7th. Today Universal Studios Home Entertainment made it official, confirming that date for both formats, and also correcting the
previously reported list prices of these releases! Contrary to what Amazon.com has been showing at the following pre-order links, the
DVD version is $49.98 SRP, and the
Blu-ray version is $59.98 SRP; these price points that Universal provides are each ten dollars lower than the costs that Amazon continues to show as of these this writing (we're sure they e-tailer will straighten it out soon).
The DVD version comes on 5 discs, presented in anamorphic widescreen video and English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. Subtitles are available in English and Spanish. The Blu-ray release comes on 4 "BD-50" discs, presented in high-def 1080p widescreen video, and with English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. This version also has English and Spanish subtitles. Extras, if any, haven't been revealed so far. Package art hasn't shown up yet for the Blu-ray version, but here's the packaging for the DVD-format release of this title. Enjoy!
