The Office - Season 5 Announced for DVD and - Surprise! - Blu-ray: Date, Specs, Extras

In early April we had the news that The Office - Season 5 had just begun being listed at Amazon.com for pre-order on DVD, even though Universal hadn't announced the title yet. As a result, there was no street date for the set. And only a DVD version had been shown.

A short time ago today, Universal officially informed retailers that September 8th will be the release date for The Office - Season 5, and that the title will be available that day on both DVD and high-definition Blu-ray Disc formats! Package art isn't available yet for either item, but retailers were provided with the following breakdowns for each version:
