Fans of TV's
The Odd Couple have been patiently waiting for episodes of the classic series to come to DVD, and
were fueled by the Wall Street Journal last February when a report about Paramount mentioned this show as being in the studio's plans for future TV-DVDs. Since then we've heard nothing from Paramount, much to our dismay. But thanks to a reader, Tommy Raiko, we have word about something that any fan of the show would appreciate in the meantime.

Jack Klugman has released a new book, called
Tony And Me: A Story Of Friendship. The book,
available from Amazon.com ($16.47, discounted from $24.95 SRP) reveals for the first time the close personal friendship which went far beyond their professional relationship. Klugman's book, co-written by Burton Rocks and with a foreword by
Odd Couple Executive Producer Garry Marshall, discusses how deeply the relationship with Tony Randall touched Jack Klugman, and - in the star's own words - made him a better human being. The book is illustrated with tons of personal photographs provided by Jack and by Tony's family.
Above and beyond that, though, is a real treat:
Tony And Me also includes an 8-minute DVD with digitally restored outtakes from
The Odd Couple, never seen before, that's guaranteed to be a hit with fans, or with anyone looking for a laugh.
