The Odd Couple - Studio Quickly Moves To Get 3rd Season On The Schedule
Includes Several Guest Stars From The Sports World, Playing Themselves |

After a first season release this past April, and a second season release just in August, CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment are quickly moving to schedule the release of The Odd Couple - The 3rd Season. This 23-episode set was announced this morning for release on January 22nd. The third season out of five, Tony Randall and Jack Klugman were joined this year by semi-regulars and guest stars that included Penny Marshall, Al Molinaro, Howard Cosell, Jean Simmons, Wally Cox, Deacon Jones, Betty White, Monty Hall, Bubba Smith, and Brett Somers.
Brett played Oscar Madison's ex-wife, but at the time she was then actually married to Jack Klugman, who played Oscar on the program. If you haven't heard, Brett passed away just a couple of weeks ago, after losing her battle with cancer; we've passed along our sympathies to the family and hope that you will do the same. Even better, enjoy her appearance on this release; she was a true entertainer whose television roles go back to The Naked City to Mary Tyler Moore to The Love Boat and Battlestar Galactica.
The studio hasn't released any details about The Odd Couple - The 3rd Season DVD package yet, other than the release date, but stay tuned and we'll keep you updated when we find out more, and when box art arrives.
