Early this past February we
reported that Warner had announced a May release of
Nip/Tuck - The Complete 5th Season on DVD...but before the month was over we
followed up with info from Warner Home Video that the release should not have been made public at the time it was, and that the date was definitely wrong as the studio hadn't finalized any plans yet. Apparently something went wrong, causing it to show up with early, incorrect info. Since then fans have been patiently waiting for the studio to re-announce the title.
That has finally happened this morning! Warner has now announced
Season 5 for release on
December 30th, just in time to enjoy it on your time off for New Years'! The original breakdown of episodes for this 5-disc set is still accurate, as are the specs. The price is $59.98 SRP, and while we expect extras to be included, none have been mentioned so far. Also note that there is no indication of a Blu-ray Disc release; just the DVD. Package art is shown below; it's the same as before except that the subtitle is now "
Season 5" instead of
The Complete 5th Season. However, the studio notes that even this artwork is not final, and could be subject to change. They also provided this new studio description of the set:
