It's been two-and-a-half months now (May 1st) since we
alerted you that Amazon had begun taking advance pre-orders for
Nip/Tick - Season 5, Part 2, a DVD release that had no street date at the time because the studio had not actually announced it yet. Today Warner Home Video has corrected that oversight, and officially announced this 3-disc set to be available starting
October 6th.
Fans have been waiting for this since "Part 1" came out at the end of last year, and now you'll get the remaining 8 episodes from the fifth year's "split-season" production: "Ronnie Chase," "Gene Shelly," "Roxy St. James," "Ricky Wells," "Manny Skerritt," "Budi Sabri," "Allegra Calderella" and "Giselle Blaylock & Legend Chandler." Video is anamorphic widescreen, audio is in both English Dolby Surround 5.1 and Portuguese Stereo 2.0, with subtitles available in Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese.
Bonus material includes a Gag Reel, Deleted Scenes and a Featurette titled "Skin Deep? - The Science of Beauty." This 3-disc set, running 440 minutes, sells for $39.98 SRP (considerably less than what Amazon has been showing, but we expect them to correct it shortly, and any pre-orders already placed will reflect a discount based on the corrected price before the title ships).
