Back in late October we
passed on how SitcomsOnline.com was saying that a 6-episode "best" of release for
Night Court - Television Favorites would be on the way in 2006. That was very confusing to us at the time, since a Season 1 set has already been released. Since then, we've heard theories that Warner believes that fans want some "Markie Post episodes" ASAP, and aren't willing to wait until a third season set release to get them (recall that, although Post debuts at the beginning of Season 2 as "Christine," it was a one-shot appearance for that year, and then Ellen Foley took over as "Billie" for the rest of the season, waiting for Christine to return for the 3rd Season as a regular). We, along with fans, think Warner should stick with the season sets, but if fans have to endure a single-disc release to re-prove loyalty to the show, then they want to know when it's coming so they can snap this up, right? Well, in a follow-up yesterday to his own original story, Sitcoms Online's News Blog writer, Pavan Badal,
has the following to say:
WHV just told me that we can expect "TV Favorites" sets of Welcome Back, Kotter; The Drew Carey Show; Night Court all on February 28, 2006! The first two currently are Best Buy exclusives, but they wont be by Feb. 28, as they will be available nationwide!

Night Court should be aware that Pavan feels sure that poor sales of this release would kill the possibility of further season sets, so invest a few bucks and pick this up. As to the
