Just a short time ago this morning we
reported about the BBC's official announcement of
The Mighty Boosh on DVD, which is something we
first heard about at the BBC America Online Shop's "in the works" blog. See how well that worked? It went from rumors to an actual announcement in just under a week!
Well, the folks behind that blog aren't resting on their laurels at all. In
a new update this morning, they tell fans of
New Tricks that it won't be long before they get their DVD wish, too! Here's exactly what they say:
Requests for this disarming dramedy about grumpy old detectives have building since PBS stations began to take it up, and we're expecting to release the first season before the summer is through. This DVD will also include the 90-minute pilot that shows how the motley crew we've come to know and love as UCOS came together.
There's a cool picture over there of the UCOS ("Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad") team, too, so be sure to head over and take a quick peek. With a
Summer timeframe for that release, it won't be long before it gets formally announced, so stay tuned and we'll bring you the specific release date and everything else, just as soon as everything is official.
