Naked City - Details & cover art for November releases

Posted by David Lambert
Image has released full details of the two new releases we mentioned last week.

The first one is Naked City: Prime Of Life, and is described this way:
"Prime of Life:" Police detective Adam Flint contemplates his profession while witnessing the execution of a criminal he arrested while young reporter Gene Hackman (Unforgiven) struggles with his own queasiness. "The One Marked Hot Gives Cold:" Two lost souls, 31-year-old L. Francis Childe (The Godfather's Robert Duvall) and 12-year-old Agnes Padgett, meet in Central Park and form a friendship tainted by a woman Childe spurned. "Hold for Gloria Christmas:" Poet Burgess Meredith (Rocky) sells bartender Herschel Bernardi (Peter Gunn) his poems but desperately wants them back so he can mail them to a woman named Gloria Christmas. "A Horse Has a Big Head - Let Him Worry:" In a role that earned her an Emmy nomination, teacher of near-blind children Diahann Carroll (Carmen Jones) inspires one boy to find his own way home through New York City, trapping him in a nightmare.

The second title is Naked City: New York To L.A., and here is the scoop on it:
"New York to L.A.:" Psychiatrist Martin Balsam (Psycho) feels guilty because he couldn't change two murder suspects (Robert Blake, Frank Sutton) finds himself in great danger. "The Hot Minerva:" After thieves steal a valuable statue for a wealthy

Incomplete sounding, isn't it? The information seems to have been cut off at that point, but don't worry. When TVShowsOnDVD adds the release listing to our database, we'll make sure the entire text is there.

Both titles street on Nov. 18th, for a list price of $14.99. Both have similar specs: 204 minutes, mono sound, full frame video, and apparently no extras. Prime of Life is indicated to be in color, but New York To L.A. says black-and-white. Here's the cover art:
