As seen on BBC America. "Clever and unsettling" - Entertainment Weekly; "Outstanding series" -The Mirror (U.K.)
A maverick Irish cop takes on the London crime world. James Nesbitt (Cold Feet, Match Point) returns as undercover cop Tommy Murphy in this action-packed crime drama. In Series 2, the stakes are higher, the stories grittier, and Murphy even more tormented. He takes on six different personas as he hunts for a serial killer, investigates a young officer's death, joins an Interpol investigation, tracks down the truth about a biotech laboratory, solves a suicide in a convent, and has the chance to exact a very personal revenge.
"Nesbitt acts the hell out of the lead role" (San Francisco Chronicle), written especially for him by novelist Colin Bateman (Divorcing Jack). Death holds no fear for Murphy; the worst already happened when the IRA murdered his daughter years ago. He masks his troubled past with his Irish charm and wisecracking demeanor, but his demons can't stay buried forever. Contains adult language, nudity, and disturbing images.
Acorn Media is preparing an April 27th release of Murphy's Law - Series 2 on DVD. This 2-disc set running 302 minutes contains 6 episodes, presented in widescreen video and English Stereo sound. English subtitles are also included, along with a bonus Biography of star James Nesbitt. The cost is $39.99 SRP in the USA, and CA$52.99 SRP in Canada.
