The Muppet NewsFlash blog, Brian Henson - son of Muppets creator Jim Henson and keeper of his father's legacy - stated in an interview at KUER FM-90 in Salt Lake City that
Muppets Tonight! may come to DVD later on, after the DVD run of
The Muppet Show in season sets has been completed.
"In terms of being able to get [Muppets Tonight] on DVD, I'm sure that we'll put [that] behind the fifth season of The Muppet Show. So probably it will be that you can continue to get the DVDs of the classic Muppet series, and [I'm] pretty sure you'll be able to get the DVD Muppets Tonight after that - unless we start [releasing] them both together sooner or something."
