Join a medieval Mr. Magoo (as Friar Tuck) along with Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men on their (mis)adventures in Sherwood Forest. From fleeing the Sherriff of Nottingham to feuding with King John, this band of caring castaways will stop at nothing to bring justice to the poor.
Classic Media and their current distributor, Vivendi Entertainment, have informed retailers that
May 11th will see the DVD release of
Mr. Magoo - In Sherwood Forest. This release of "The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo" appears to contain the complete run of the multi-part episodes for Quincy Magoo (voiced by Jim Backus of
Gilligan's Island) in his Robin Hood story, which aired during the first year of the classic cartoon show's broadcast. It will come on a single disc, running 53 minutes long, with full frame video and English mono audio. Pricing has not yet been revealed, but we have a look at the package art for you below.
Also coming out the same day is a brand-new direct to video release titled "
Kung Fu Magoo." Classic Media/Vivendi describe this as "
a feature length animated movie (that f)
eatures an All-Star Voice Cast including Dylan and Cole Sprouse from Disney’s Suite life of Zack and Cody and Alyson Stoner from Disney’s Camp Rock." As this isn't an episode of the classic television series, we won't be covering the one any further. But since we're talking about
Mr. Magoo anyway, we figured that we would bring it up...and show you the o-card box art too, which you'll find at the bottom.
