A week ago today we reported that Shout! Factory is conducting a casual poll, asking fans which of several properties Shout! has license to should get future DVD releases. The show that was in the lead a week ago, Mr. Belvedere, remains in the lead right now, with Paper Chase close behind. That's no surprise, according the studio: the first DVD releases from each of those shows have sold extremely well, we hear from multiple sources. Fans of one of those shows can relax for now, though: we've got the word about the second DVD release of that series!

We've learned that Shout! Factory will release Mr. Belvedere - Season 3 as a 4-disc set, making it available starting on September 8th...just a little bit more than three months from now! Running 650 minutes, you'll get the 22 episodes from the third year of the sitcom's six-year run. Shout! is also planning to include bonus material with this release, but hasn't finalized that part of the content just yet. Nor have they finalized the pricing or package art [NOTE: SEE BELOW], so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, here's the studio description:
Christopher Hewett returns as Mr. Belvedere, the sardonic and sophisticated housekeeper of the Owens household in one of the most adored, if not referenced, sitcoms of all time. When he isn't butting heads with the patriarch George (Bob Uecker) or dodging the barbs of the scheming little Wesley (Brice Beckham), Belvedere takes great pleasure in schooling the Owens family on everything from soup to sarcasm. Season three hosts a plentiful palette of predicaments when Marsha (Ilene Graff), now a lawyer, must represent son Kevin (Rob Stone) in court, Heather (Tracey Wells) dates a thief and Wesley tries to get Belvedere deported. Despite his impending deportation, Belvedere must prove there is never a mess too big for his mop.
UPDATE (5/29): We now have a look at package art of that new title for you this morning:
