Sitcoms don't get much hotter than ABC's popular new program starring the likes of Ed O'Neill (
Married...with Children), Ty Burrell (
Back to You) and Julie Bowen (
Ed, Boston Legal, Weeds, Lost). Now Amazon.com has begun taking pre-orders for the first season of
Modern Family, coming on both
DVD and high-def
Blu-ray Disc formats. These listings are prior to the official Fox Home Entertainment announcement for the title, though, so instead of a street date Amazon only says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Pricing is available, however, currently showing $59.98 SRP for the standard DVD and $69.99 SRP for the Blu-ray (you can, of course, lock in your copy at a discount, if you order it using either of the above links). There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entries, nor is there cover art (just some temp art from the show's network broadcast advertising campaign). Stay tuned, however, and we'll update you further on this title, just as soon as we find out anything more!
