Mister Ed rides again in the second volume of America's best-loved sitcom - featuring television's smoothest-talking steed! Full of hilarious horseplay, this wild and wacky collection features Mister Ed up to his tail in trouble as he flies a plane, drives a truck, rides a surfboard - and generally gets his poor owner Wilbur Post into one fine mess after another. It's four-footed fun for the whole family, so saddle up, take the reins, and hit the trail with Mister Ed!
MGM Home Entertainment has announced
Mister Ed - Best of Mister Ed Volume 2 for release on
March 8, 2005. Based on the 507 mins for the set, we expect it will include 19 or 20 episodes of the show on a 2 disc set (double-sided, dual layer). The release will contain a B&W full frame picture (1.33:1) and English mono audio (closed captioned). The suggested retail price of the set is $29.98, though Amazon.com and other retailers will discount this by 30%.
Fans of the series have wondered if they would see another release for the series. After the release of volume 1 in Jan, 2004, the studio was quiet on plans for volume 2, and with the impending sale of MGM to Sony Pictures people wondered if MGM would continue to release TV titles. It's good to know that the sale of the company won't affect their output of TV sets.
