In 2004-05, MGM released a pair of best-of releases, titled "Volume 1" and "Volume 2", for the classic
Mister Ed TV series...a move which left fans very unsatisfied. Now Shout! Factory has picked up the rights to this show, and is planning an
October 6th release of
Mister Ed - The Complete First Season on DVD! Full details aren't available yet, but the price is planned at $44.99 SRP, and you can
pre-order it now form Amazon.com for just $33.99 (price is subject to change at Amazon's discretion, without notice). Our thanks to the various readers who e-mailed us about that listing, which currently says "MGM" is the studio...but we've confirmed that this will be coming from Shout! instead.
