For the first time ever, all 26 episodes from the first season of the classic TV sitcom Mister Ed will be on DVD. Architect Wilbur Post (Alan Young, The Time Machine) and his wife Carol (Connie Hines) move into a beautiful new home, complete with a barn in the backyard. When Wilbur takes a look in his new barn, he finds that the former owner left his horse behind.
This horse is no ordinary horse...he can talk, but only to Wilbur, which leads to all sorts of misadventures for Wilbur and his trouble-making sidekick Mister Ed. Premiering in 1960, Mister Ed became the first syndicated series ever to be picked up by a network when CBS adopted the show in 1961 for the remainder of its five-year run, and the program won a Golden Globe Award in 1963 as Best TV Show.

we let you know that Shout! Factory is working on an
October 6th DVD release of
Mister Ed - The Complete 1st Season. Now we have package art for you below.
We also have found out that Shout! has a list of potential extras that they want to included on this 4-disc release. It's not finalized and could be subject to change, so take it with a grain of salt, but they are hoping to include the Original Unaired Pilot "The Wonderful World of Wilbur Pope" (considered lost), "Wilbur Gets the Message" (an exclusive U.S. Savings Bond promotional episode), On-Screen Trivia and hopefully also Interviews with stars Alan Young and Connie Hines. Again, none of this is for certain, so please wait until Shout!'s official press release for the final list of bonus material.
Running time on the main 26 episodes, many of them new-to-DVD, is 780 minutes (and they will be presented in the original black-and-white). This is clearly the DVD release that
Mister Ed fans have been waiting for!
