Back in mid-May we
reported that the release date for
How I Met Your Mother - Season 3, even though Fox had not yet announced the title yet, appeared to be
October 14th. Our info was based on
Amazon's pre-order listing, which continues to show that date as of this writing.
Today other retailers began listing the title, including
a pre-order listing at DVDEmpire. The new info shows a new date, though, a week earlier:
October 7th. There was also several new pieces of info: a 3-DVD set, 440 minute running time, Widescreen video format, English - Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, and subtitles in English, French and Spanish. The list price given agrees with Amazon's info: $39.98 SRP (each retailer offers a discount on that cost).
Which date is correct? We expect that to be cleared up for certain when the title is officially announced to the press by the studio. We're also expecting there to be a nice list of bonus material announced for this set, but we don't have it yet. Stay tuned and we'll bring that to you, along with official package art, just as soon as Fox makes them available!
