When Merlin - a young man gifted with extraordinary magical powers - arrives in the kingdom, he quickly makes enemies including the heir to Uther's crown, the headstrong Prince Arthur. "Merlin" is a new drama series that updates the story of the infamous sorcerer of Arthurian legend for a new audience. The mythical city of Camelot, in a time before history began; a fantastical realm of legendary beasts and mysterious people; a dangerous world in which magic has been banned by the ruthless tyrant, Uther Pendragon.

Merlin, which aired in the USA on NBC. Anthony Head (
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, VR.5) also stars as Uther Pendragon, and John Hurt (
Alien, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), Michelle Ryan (
Bionic Woman, Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead) and Katie McGrath as "Morgana" are additionally found among the cast.
The BBC and distributor Warner Home Video have announced that
Merlin - The Complete 1st Season is coming to DVD in North America on
April 20th. You'll get a 5-disc set running 568 minutes long, plus a couple of hours worth of extras such as Video Diaries, a Featurette and more. Check out the
