A little over a week ago, we
reported about Anchor Bay's DVD plans for Showtime's
Masters of Horror. The first pair of releases are due out on
March 28th:
Stuart Gordon: Dreams in the Witch House (the second episode aired) and
John Carpenter: Cigarette Burns (the eighth episode). We've gotten ahold of the details for the
Witch House DVD, and as you can see there are quite a few extras to be found on this disc!

Wow, we predicted in our previous post that fans would criticize Anchor Bay for their one-episode-per-DVD strategy, and so far that's what we've seen here at TVShowsOnDVD. But noone can deny that Anchor Bay is filling up the
Witch House DVD with loads of bonus material! This may change the minds of some of those critics, especially when you consider the slightly more price-friendly 2-packs that will be available for each pair of releases.
Will the other
Masters of Horror DVDs be the same in terms of loads of extras? Almost assuredly so, but we're working to get confirmation of that. As we posted last time, it's already gotten out that the
John Carpenter: Cigarette Burns release will contain commentary tracks from both of that episode's writers. We hope to find a Carpenter commentary track on there as well, and as big a list of enhanced content as the Stuart Gordan release. We'll let you know as soon as we can what we find out about that.
We're also keeping any eye out for box art for these releases, so stay tuned and we'll be back with that as well just as soon as we can!
