Since February, Amazon.com has been taking pre-orders for
The Mary Tyler Moore Show - The Complete Series on DVD, a title which Fox Home Entertainment hasn't formally announced. Early reports put it at a release date for May 5th, a week and a half ago. As we
reported later, though, Fox decided to move the release back until later; no new specific street date has been set. No official reason was given for the change, but the main reason SEEMS to be that fans who already own the first four season sets didn't want to feel pushed into re-buying them to get the remaining three seasons; they wanted Seasons 5-7 issued individually.
Now it seems that those fans will get their wish!
Amazon has now also begun taking pre-orders for
The Mary Tyler Moore Show - The Complete 5th Season. This listing is prior any official announcement for the title from Fox Home Entertainment, so instead of a street date it only says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives" (just as it does for Amazon's
The Complete Series pre-order listing). Pricing is available, however, showing $29.98 SRP (and you can lock in your copy at a nice discount if you place your order now). There are no other details available so far, however, nor cover art. Stay tuned, though, and we'll update you more on this title, as further developments occur!
