Mannix -Studio Officially Announces Mannix - The 1st Season DVDs

This past Christmas Day we gave Mannix fans a gift with our scoop that a DVD release of the first season would be coming on June 3rd. We would like to pass on that this morning CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment confirmed that information with their official announcement of Mannix - The 1st Season:
The weekly adventures of private detective Joe Mannix in Los Angeles. At his side is his assistant Gail Fisher, who was widowed when her husband was killed in the line of duty with the LAPD. Hard-boiled and gritty, Mannix dished out justice outside the law for his clients.
Note that this description is probably a generic one the studio will use for all DVD releases (the show ran 8 seasons), but that Gail Fisher as "Peggy Fair" didn't join until the second episode of the second season. The description also errs in that it makes it sound like the actress name is actually the character name...but what's more important is that the DVDs are on the way!
Besides that description and the release date, no other information was available except a run time of 20 hours and 10 minutes, and a note that this will be presented in Full Screen video format (as originally broadcast). Stay tuned for box art and any other details we can get about this long-awaited release!
