The Man from U.N.C.L.E. - Studios still locked in debate over rights

Posted by Gord Lacey
Anchor Bay and Warner Bros are still locked in a battle over who owns the rights to The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The topic came up the other night at the Warner Bros Home Theater Forum chat when Ken Ranke asked about the show coming to DVD. This was taken from the chat:
<KenRanke> Any news on Man From UNCLE series and features ?

<WARNER> We can confirm that Warner does own the rights to MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E and we hope to release it in the future however it won't be in 2006.

That prompted Ember Entertainment Group (the company which licensed the show to Anchor Bay), to post some comments on their site (which has JUST been removed) about the comments made in the Home Theater Forum chat.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. won't be coming to DVD anytime soon by the looks of it.
