Last week we posted a statement from Warner Bros which said they didn't own the rights to the uncut episodes of
Mama's Family. Fans cried foul, believing the studio used that as an excuse to cover up sloppy work, but the information has been verified by TelevisionHits.com. They emailed John Hamilton, son of Joe Hamilton who produced the series, and Hamilton confirmed that he owns the original episodes. You can read the email exchange by heading over to

This doesn't change the edited episodes on the DVDs, but it confirms Warner Bros wasn't able to include the uncut episodes on the DVD set, and the "we don't own the rights" statement wasn't an excuse.
