Mad TV fans will be pleased to know that this series is coming to DVD in the near future. The release is in the production phase now, and nothing is known yet about its exact configuraton or specs. There is no release date yet, either. There should be enough time to expect it before the year is over, though.
During the
last online chat between Warner Brothers and the Home Theater Forum (3/8/04), the question was asked by Jim Beaver about whether this and
Fresh Prince of Bel Air had any plans for release. Warner's response was "MAD TV and FRESH PRINCE are in discussion". Our inside sources tell us that
Mad TV, at least, has actually gotten into the production phase and is moving forward.
Again, we don't know anything about the content as of yet, so we don't know if these are entire episodes, entire seasons, if they are edited or changed in any way, etc. In fact, for every question we asked, the reply was, "I have a cat named Cece." Stay tuned, though, and once we know these things, and all the other details, we'll definately pass it on. The good news is that its coming! Yay!
UPDATE: We spoke to Warner Bros Home Video and they told us they will be releasing the show in season sets.
