In 2002 and 2003, Sony released DVDs for the first two seasons of the popular "must-see" sitcom
Mad About You, starring Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser. In 2005 the studio released a best-of collection, with 4 disc featuring episodes from various of the show's seven seasons. Then in February 2007, Sony came back with a third season release...but things have been quiet since then. But we've got great news: it's time for fans to get
Mad once more!
Shout! Factory has obtained the rights to continue releasing the Emmy-winning show on DVD, and is bringing out a 4-disc set on
June 29th, with all 24 episodes from
Mad About You - The Complete 4th Season. In this 540-minute package you'll see great guest stars including Gates McFadden, Alan Ruck (who would later be seen on
Spin City with
Mad About You's Richard Kind), Yoko Ono, Hank Azaria, Gilbert Gottfried, Dick Clark, Arte Johnson, Henry Gibson, Gary Ownes, Jo Anne Worley, Robert Costanzo, James Lesure, Brad Garrett and Sofia Milos.
This was a good season, with the show being nominated for a "Outstanding Comedy Series" Emmy, and both leads being nominated as well (Hunt won hers; the first of 4 she would win for the show!). Pricing isn't available at this time. A listing has been added to Amazon.com over the weekend, but it's not accepting pre-orders yet. It should be soon, though, so you'll find the button link below.
