The set will retail for $199.98 US, or $349.98 CAN when it's released on
November 7. Canadians wanting this set would be strongly advised to import it from the US to save big, big bucks; $200 US = approx $225 CAN using the current exchange rates. Yes, you have to pay a bit for shipping, but you'll still save big bucks, which would allow you to order at least another DVD set with the savings.
Note:
Amazon.ca is currently preselling this at $156.72. They've taken the US price, converted it to Canadian dollars, then take 30% off of the title. It's possible that this listing will be removed once Fox Canada notices it since they aren't using the Canadian SRP like they're supposed to.
The bonus material for this set will
only be available to people that purchase the complete series set. We've already spoken to Fox about this and explained that this will upset the customers that have supported the show through 10 season releases.
They were the 4077 MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) unit stationed three miles from the front during the Korean War. Now, as reports that the war is almost over reach the 4077 with increasing frequency, the doctors and nurses begin to tentatively make plans about what they're going to do once they get back home. But until the guns fall silent, everyone must focus on taking care of the incoming wounded whose numbers increase as the fighting intensifies during the last weeks of the war. In the end, even though the canvas tents are torn down and the docs and nurses shipped stateside, one thing will always remain-the memory of undying laughter and boundless friendship in a time of war in a land far away from home.
Fox will also release the 3-disc season 11 set on the same day. Priced at $39.98 US, or $54.98, the set contains the final 15 episodes, plus "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" which ends the series. There set doesn't contain any bonus material. Here's the artwork for season 11:
