The 8th Season of
M*A*S*H saw a big change, as Corporal Radar O'Reilly got his orders to go home, and Corporal Max Klinger got out of dresses and into a uniform to take over the company clerk position. "Radar" actor Gary Burghoff was the one major actor to come over from the 1970 Robert Altman film (based on Richard Hooker's novel) that inspired the series, and in the eighth season he departed.
