It was originally in January of this year that we
passed word that Image Entertainment was planning to bring the Sam Raimi (
Spider-Man films) produced superhero series
M.A.N.T.I.S. to DVD. The show, starring Carl Lumbly (
Alias), Bobby Hosea (
Independence Day) and Gina Torres (
Angel, Firefly, Serenity) was originally scheduled to be out by now, but after a series of delays Image has finally settled on a release date of
January 27, 2009.
The 4-DVD set of
M.A.N.T.I.S. - The Complete Series will run $49.98 SRP, but at this time you can pre-order it from Amazon per the link below for $34.99 (Amazon's pricing is subject to change at their discretion). Late yesterday, Image Entertainment has finally provided cover art for this release, and we've got it for you!
