Last month we
reported that Image Entertainment had, for a second time, delayed their plans to release the classic live-action superhero TV series
M.A.N.T.I.S. on DVD. The original release plans for the Sam Raimi-produced series, which originally aired on Fox in 1994, called for a June debut on DVD. Then those plans were pushed back to September, and most recently delayed again to November.
Now we have the upsetting news that Image has recently removed the title entirely from their public schedule of upcoming releases in 2008.
No information is available about the reasons for the removal. We don't know if this is simply a postponement, or a cancellation, or what. We're trying to find out for you, though! So stay tuned and hopefully we can follow up soon.
