Today it has been exactly a month since
we brought you the studio announcement for CBS/Paramount's
October 23rd release of
I Love Lucy - The Complete Series. We had a look at the special "heart" packaging for you at the time, but yesterday the studio released rear box art for the set as well.
That graphic they distributed focuses on the "heart" portion of the rear, and we've got it for you below. Just above it you see a close-up on the special features included on this collection, which are all of the extras from the individual season sets, plus new bonus material exclusive to this release! The most spectacular of these new extras is confirmation that the
I Love Lucy Movie will be presented here, after being lost in the vaults since 1953 and discovered again back in 2001! This is a theatrical presentation of three episodes from the first season of the show, tied together with specially-filmed footage to bridge them into a single feature that, we've heard, works very well and gives the viewer an idea of what it would be like to be an in-studio audience member watching a filming of an
I Love Lucy episode. Sounds like a real must-have for fans, as are some of these other new extras:
