I Love Lucy - The Complete 5th Season (the year with the European trip) on

No real suprises there, but in this case it's good news! CBS and Paramount have kept up a real quality set of releases with this mega-classic program, and we've been impressed to say the least. This 5th year is the last season produced with Jess Oppenheimer at the helm, and there is just one more season to go before
Lucy wraps up her original TV series format and the show morphed into
The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. Kudos to the DVD producers for doing a fantastic job thus far...we can't wait to see how you wrap the final year! That sixth season is full of guest stars (Bob Hope, Orson Welles, Claude Akins, George Reeves as
Superman, and Barbara Eden are among them as the Ricardos wrap up their time in New York and move on out to Connecticut midway through the season. But wait...we're getting ahead of ourselves! We're still excited about getting the 5th Season this August, and here's that box art once more (featuring Lucy's famous grape-stomping scene!):
