told you about a month ago that fansite LucyFan.com had posted the heads-up that May 2005 would see the release of
I Love Lucy - The Complete 4th Season in a 5-DVD set, along with a slimmer, thinner package holding
I Love Lucy - The Complete 1st Season on 7 DVDs, in thinpak cases. The first season was originally released on nine separate discs, and later those separate items were collected into
a season set that was just the same separate releases housed in a big slipcover. After the second season was released in thinkpaks, fans demanded a less expensive, slimmer package, and the studio has now listened!
May 3rd sees the release of both of these, each list-pricing at just $69.99 (that's 30% less than the SRP of the original 1st Season package). They will contain every episode from those seasons, plus lots of extras. Will the re-release of the first season contain all the bonus material from the previous set? We think it probably will, but Paramount/CBS hasn't officially said so yet.
