Disney/Buena Vista has formally announced, via their
press release, that
Lost - The Complete 3rd Season: The Unexplored Experience will be released on
December 11, 2007. We've known that date since
Amazon.com's pre-order listing went up for it, a listing whose price has now been reduced by three dollars to $38.99!
TVShowsOnDVD was the first to
bring you the box art for this release, although it was a tiny and blurry scan from a small pic in a trade magazine ad. Now, though, one of my good friends in the industry has passed on a full-sized version of the same art, in high resolution. Although this person doesn't want to be named, we also can't give enough thanks! You can see it below, including the strange message "Jacob Loves You." Who the heck is Jacob? For those people who haven't seen the third season yet, that would be telling. He's connected with "the Others," though...that's not much of a spoiler.
Here is the art! We realize that a lot of fans will want to post this at
Lost websites or other DVD sites, or at discussion forums, etc. Just a reminder, though, that this is not widely available yet and was not distributed to us by the studio. It's not the European art (the box angle is different from the pics taken from Amazon.co.uk). So please give TVShowsOnDVD.com the credit as the site who had the scoop, okay? Thanks!
