When we
gave you the details last month for
Lost In Space - Season 2, Volume 1, we reminded you that the second volume was due in November, to finish off the season.
In case you somehow missed hearing about this, Fox decided to split up the second season of
Lost In Space into two half-season sets. The goal is to make it easier on consumers by selling them a $40 SRP set on Sept. 14th, giving them a couple of months to pay off the credit card, and then selling them a second $40 SRP set in November. That's easier on the wallet that a single set that has an $80 SRP, which is how the first season was sold.
Fox Home Entertainment has let retailers know that
Lost In Space - Season 2, Volume 2 will arrive on
November 30th, and at a list price of $39.98 in the U.S., and $54.98 in Canada. Besides having the same pricing as the second season's first volume, it also has the same disc count: 4 DVDs. So this DOES seem to be a fair deal for the fans of the show, with Fox making every effort to get these episodes into the hands of the consumers. This second season is in full color, of course, since the show had made the switch away from the black-and-white after their rookie year.
Also, we've managed to get ahold of the cover art for both parts of the 2nd Season. As you can see, the November release art is a reprise of the September release, just with a silver background instead of black. The scan our retail source sent us also shows the pricing for each volume, to back up what we said above:
That cover art IS still subject to change, we're told, but if it does then we'll make sure we update you. In fact, just stay tuned, and we'll keep searching the heavens for more information about the exciting releases of this classic show!
