Back in 2008, Classic Media released
The Lone Ranger - 75th Anniversary Collector's Edition, an official commemorative set (12 DVDs, plus a 13th bonus disc) with Season 1 and Season 2 of the classic five-year-long series. The studio has now decided to break up the high-priced package into a smaller bite, for more casual fans of the show. On
April 19th Classic Media will release a 10-episode "
Lone Ranger compilation" disc, which you can
pre-order from Amazon for just $7.93. The list of included episodes hasn't been provided, nor do we have cover art, but we hope to bring that to you in the future. Note that on the same day, for the same price, Classic Media is also releasing a
Lone Ranger Double-Feature with the two end-of-the-series feature films, 1956's
The Lone Ranger and 1958's
The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold. None of this is new to DVD, of course, but it's going to be made available again for anyone who's missed adding it to their collection in the past!
